Abeer News. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat says that Chardham's visit is postponed in view of the increase in Kovid cases in the state.  Only priests can worship there.  For the people of the entire country, Chardham Yatra is called off for now.  Earlier, amidst the growing cases of covid, there was a lot of criticism regarding the organizing of Kumbh Mela in Haridwar.  Preparations are on to open the doors of Badrinath Dham. This temple will open at Brahmamuhurta on May 18 at 4.15 am.

 The doors of the Kedarnath temple located in Rudraprayag district will be opened for pilgrims on 17 May.  Meanwhile, the Nainital High Court has ordered the Uttarakhand government to conduct 30,000-50,000 RT-PCR and rapid antigen tests in Dehradun, Haldwani and Haridwar.  The High Court also directed the state government to extend the home isolation test.

 Claiming that there is a shortage of doctors in the state, the court has suggested seeking help from 2,500 registered dentists. According to the Union Health Ministry, there are 45,383 active COVID-19 cases in Uttarakhand.  2,417 COVID-19 infected patients have died so far.  On Wednesday, 6,054 new Kovid cases, 108 deaths and 3,485 recoveries were recorded in Uttarakhand today.

 Today, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, "Yesterday, within 3 hours of starting the Kovin platform, 88 lakh youth had booked for vaccination.  The speed at which people are vulnerable to the virus, they are also recovering as fast as possible.  Our death rate is probably the lowest in the world at 1.11%
