Aber News Harda (MP).  A sudden explosion occurred while allegedly making illegal firecrackers in a house about 500 meters from the Civil Line Police Station in Harda, Madhya Pradesh, killing three women of the same family.  Civil line police station in-charge Himlendra Patel said on Tuesday that the incident took place late Monday evening in a house at Bairagarh on Magardha Road in Harda city.  He said that the dead have been identified as Vimala Bai (60), Shanta Bai (80) and Pappi (16).

All three were making firecrackers and died on the spot.  Patel said that two other people present in the second room of the house were injured in this accident, who are undergoing treatment at Harda Hospital.  He said that the explosion caused a fire in the house.  Patel said that after the fire, the sound of explosions in firecrackers echoed for a long time.

Later firefighters controlled the fire.  He said that a detailed investigation into the case was going on.  Meanwhile, Additional Collector of Harda district JP Sayyam told that firecrackers were being made in this house illegally.  "It is being investigated from where the raw material including explosive material was made available to the family for making crackers," he said.
