aber news New Delhi . Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that Kovid-19 is the worst crisis facing humanity in decades, which has changed the whole world. Addressing the Vesak Global Ceremony through video conference on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, the Prime Minister said that India is vigorously addressing this challenge and the vaccine's role in it is important.
He said that we have not seen such an epidemic in the last century. Corona has changed the world. After Kovid-19, the Earth will not be the same. Now a better understanding of this epidemic has developed. We have vaccines available which are important to save lives and defeat epidemics. India is proud of its scientists. PM expressed condolences to the people killed in this epidemic. He said that those who lost their loved ones and those who suffered from it are involved in their grief in this epidemic.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India in collaboration with the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC). It consists of the supreme heads of Buddhist associations around the world. The ceremony will be addressed by more than 50 prominent Buddhist religious leaders of the world. Vesak-Buddha Purnima is celebrated as the birth of Gautama Buddha, attainment of enlightenment and Maha Parinirvana Day.
