abernews .Ajab Gajab News: There are hundreds of such temples in India, which have stood intact even today for several hundred years.  Today we are going to tell you about one such temple, which has stood in the middle of the sea for 600 years.  This temple is located in Indonesia.  It is said about this 600-year-old temple that poisonous snakes protect it.
This temple is located on a beach in Indonesia.  It is built on a high rock.  The rock is believed to have been formed due to tidal erosion of sea water for thousands of years.  The story of the construction of this temple is very unique.  It is known as Tanah Lot Temple.  It is located in Bali, Indonesia.
'Tanah Lot' in the local language means sea land or sea land.  It is one of the seven temples on the sea coast of Bali, built in the form of a chain.  The biggest feature of the temples is that from every temple the next temple is clearly displayed.  The rock on which this temple is built had started falling apart in the year 1980.  After this the area around the temple was declared dangerous.
The government of Japan helped the government of Indonesia to save it.  Then about a third of the rock was covered with artificial rock.  The Tanah Lot temple is believed to have been built in the 15th century by a priest named Nirth.  The priest had reached this place while walking along the beach.

The beauty of this place was liked by the priest.  After this he thought of building a temple here.  That night the priest stayed there for the whole night.  During this, the priest urged the nearby fishermen to build a temple of the sea god at this place.  Priest Nirartha is also worshiped in the temple.  It is said that the venomous snakes living under its stone protect this temple from evil spirits.
